There are lots of places that may offer you yoga certifications. All of them include the same basic levels of routines and practices. Here are some of the things that most certification classes offer:

Asanas

Asana, which means posture, is a basic to be able to acquire a yoga certification. It is originally designed to serve as a stable posture for long-drawn-out meditation. It opens the energy channels and chakras of the body. It strengthens the body and can help in mind control and focus.

Chakras

There are 7 basic energy centers that are parallel to the spine and ends at the crown of the head. These energies are commonly known as chakras. Meditation

Mediation strengthens your body and mind, providing you with mental peace and bodily power. It is a form of constant concentration that probes deeper into our inner self and seeks mental peace, confidence, strength and clarity. Meditation is one of the central parts of yoga and is vital to be covered in your yoga certification course.

Pranayama

Pranayama deals with yoga breathing or simply put your control of breath. "Prana" means breath and is the vital energy in your body. It is energy responsible for life force. "Ayama" on the other hand means control. Pranayama is designed to recognize the connection between breath and mind together with emotion. Yogis believe that it also rejuvenates the body and may extend your life span. Be sure that your yoga certification course offers this technique.

There are other techniques that are not stated above and you should make sure that it is all covered in your yoga certification course. Many techniques may vary from class to class so find the yoga certification class that suits your yoga attitude.
