Spiritual Growth: The Power of Kundalini Yoga
There are two main goals for people interested in engaging Kundalini Yoga. These are spiritual growth and genuine yogic stirring within one's soul. Among the eight well-known and most practiced yoga disciplines, Kundalini yoga's center of attention is meditation. This make's it the most potent yoga technique. A variety of such techniques will catalyze a smooth interaction between one's mind and body. There are seven chakras to consider. Chakras refer to something like a disc or a wheel, the case of yoga, chakras are like vortices where energy can flow into and out of the body. These seven chakras are funneled through practicing Kundalini Yoga, as they are located in various parts of the human body. The Seven Major Chakras To attain spiritual development, one has to know where spiritual energy lies. 1. The first of the seven chakras is Muladhara or the Base or Root chakra. It is generally found near the genitals and the anus. 2. The second is called the Svadhisthana or the Sacral or Sweetness chakra. This is somewhere near the pelvic area, at the end of the spine. 3. The third chakra, Manipura or the Lustrous Gem chakra is in the abdomen area known as the Solar Plexus. 4. Anahata or Anahata-puri, means an unbeaten sound. The fourth chakra lies exactly at the heart. 5. Moving further up the body, the fifth of the seven major chakras is found in the neck area, or the throat. It is called Vissudha or Vishuddhi, meaning purification. 6. Ajna, meaning to perceive. This chakra is above the eye, near the forehead. The sixth chakra is correlated to the third eye. 7. The seventh chakra is the Sahasrara. It refers to the thousand-petaled lotus. It is located at the head, and is also called the Crown Chakra. Though Kundalini yoga, spiritual energy is gathered by engaging special positions. Along with it, chants are done as part of the meditation. Kundalini means something coiled or in a spiral. It is an intense prana or life force coiled up at chakra points, like a snake-like serpent waiting to be awakened. All that potential is channeled to arise and finally collected within the mind. As a result, a distinct kind of peace and harmony is achieved. Physically, this will affect the nervous and endocrinal system. To awaken the untapped potential of the serpent requires a very clear grasp of the techniques involved in Kundalini yoga. The snake-like serpent is believed to be female, and is coiled up to three and a half times. The snake's mouth is positioned somewhere at the Base or the Root chakra. With the help and guidance of a qualified guru, one can accomplish the main goals of this discipline. Spiritual energy can greatly boost how you feel. More over, as you unravel and acquire the potentials trapped within, this will give you the chance to completely interlink your soul to your body.
